The problem
A Dallas customer contacted us about a problem with a LiftMaster sliding gate.
How we diagnosed it
- Inspection found that the gate chain needed to be replaced.
What we did
- Removed the worn chain.
- Installed a replacement chain on the LiftMaster sliding gate operator.
- Checked the operator after installation.
The outcome
The sliding gate returned to normal operation on its existing operator.
What you should take from this
A chain is a wear item on a sliding gate, in the way tyres are on a car. Replacing one is routine; running one to destruction takes the sprockets and sometimes the operator with it.
